What is "out of area" travel? It is when either the pickup or destination address is outside of the 25-mile radius zTrip has established as its dispatch boundary.  This means there are many areas that I service that zTrip would not normally dispatch to.  Also, these areas generally have limited or no access to other ride-share services such as Uber or Lyft.

For example, if you were to call zTrip dispatch and mention that you are in Louisburg, Kansas, dispatch would say that you are in an area they do not service and would NOT send a taxi to you. This is where the drivers I work with and I come in. We service many of these areas but the out-of-area rate applies.

Some of these areas include Louisburg, Spring Hill, Paola, Wellsville, Edgerton, Ottawa, and Osawatomie. Advanced booking notice is required since it takes anywhere from 15-40 minutes minimum to arrive in these areas, depending upon where our drivers are at when you call or book online. These trips MUST be paid for before a driver heads to these areas. This will be done by sending you an online invoice or, if you prefer, payment by credit card over the phone. We do not allow "cash upon arrival" trips.

For clarification, if you are in one of the above-mentioned areas, we do not provide "in-town" or short runs. For example, we do not service Paola to Paola because the time and distance to get there are cost-prohibitive for what might turn out to be a $10.00 trip. Also, short runs such as from Paola to Spring Hill will always have a minimum charge because, again, we are sending a driver at least 30 miles to get to those areas so the trip itself has to be worthwhile. Minimums can be anywhere from $100.00 - $150.00, or $3.30 per mile, whichever is greater, depending upon the pickup address.
