About Gregg - zTrip Taxi Cab Driver

Gregg Katz has been driving for zTrip since 2013, back when it was called "10/10 Taxi" and has maintained a zero accident, zero complaint record. As an honorably discharged US Marine (1982-1986) Gregg's philosophy is that the best ride with him is the one you don't think about after the trip is over. In other words, a pleasant ride that was incident-free.

Gregg was born in Kansas City, MO but moved to Brentwood, CA when he was 4 years old. Returning to Kansas City at age 14, he attended Rockhurst High School before enlisting with the US Marine Corps. Based at the Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, he was a member of the multi-national peacekeeping forces when the ship he was deployed on (USS Tarawa) maintained a presence off Beirut, Lebanon in 1983.

Gregg is one of the former general managers of the Westport nightclub "America's Pub" and then moved on to take over the owner of a family's flowershop (Al Manning Florist) which was eventually changed to "Katz Floral Design" to market his family's former drugstore chain name and logo.

In 2016, Gregg was awarded the Paratransit Driver of the Year award by The Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association for his work with both elderly and mentally challenged individuals.

Currently, Gregg drives taxicab 770 - a 2021 white Hyundai Santa Fe.
